Mr. Gray had gotten about
300 yards away when a young
boy ran to him and cried out
that his daughter was drown¬
ing. Mr. Gray ran to the spot
where One young couple had
been wading in the water, only
to see his daughter, with out
stretched arms, sink beneath
the surface of the water.

self. Mr Gray plunged into the
water and grabbed the young
man’s arm and was struggling
to bring him ashore when he
developed a cramp :n his leg.

The lad was apparently dead.
