In view of the fact that many
laymen throughout the state
have inquired of me about our
reactions to the shifting of
Bishop R. R. Wright, Jr., from
Georgia in the inidst of the
conference year, I am taking
this method to advise them
that we are contemplating
calling a state meeting of the
laymen soon to discuss and de¬
cide what steps to take in the
way of protesting this out¬
rageous. unchristian and un¬
precedented scheme perpetrated
by the Bishops Council.
Since several of our bishops
have records of charges, con¬
victions and suspensions for
serious offenses committed in
recent years, it is easy to reason
that the respect for our leaders

people interested in youth
leadership are especially invited
to attend these meetings.
The church’s “Share
Faith” movement, which is en¬
listing Adventist young people
winning their friends and neigh¬
bors to Christ, will be featured.
According to church youth
leaders the 300,000 members of
the denomination’s Missionary

world are uniting in this special
week of prayer and “spiritual
emphasis.”
and confidence in their integ¬
rity have been greatly weakened.
Their actions at the California
meeting will certainly add noth¬
ing to restore this loss of faith.
We all know that to remove
Bishop Wright from Georgia at
this time will disrupt our edu¬
cational program, disorganize
our entire district, and tre¬
mendously weaken the morale
of our membership.
We are urging our laymen
to think seriously, stand to¬

resist, with all our might, the
tyranny and dictatorship im¬
posed upon us by this unright¬
