Cornelius Slater, lost his appeal
to the state supreme court.

crime, was subsequently
charged with the kidnaping of
the woman, who on New Year’s
Day, in a dazed condition and
half naked, wandered into a
farmyard, from where she re¬
ported to officers that she had
been kidnapped and raped.
