“Greatest Story Ever Told’’ To
Present Drama of Greed on TV
A lest of faith, a lest of honesty, a test of character, forces a
io decide which is more important—truth or bread for his
family—is the dramatized teaching of Christ portrayed on
Greatest Story Ever Told," Sunday, May 25, when this most-
radio program will be televised over the CBS-TV network
4:00 p. m. (Eastern Time). The story tells of Boaz. the merchant,
who seeks to have his bookkeeper, Nathan, swear falsely as witness
an agreement with another merchant. Nathan's family, starving
a result of a locust plague, could live well if Nathan agreed: yet
teachings of Christ said otherwise. The struggle within Nathan
one of the most dramatic moments on the air.
In addition to the telecast. "The Greatest Story Ever Told" will
to be heard on radio every Sunday at 5:30 p. m. (Eastern
over the ABC radio network, on which it has been broadcast
the past six years. Both radio and television progrw&is are offered
a public service, with no commercials ol any kind. Another
