Since oui great soitih fell.
The shock t- at we uecei .i-d that
day
We still reniembe, well.
It's bitter grief, a si >ek severe
to part
From one we loved so deal.
While he sleeps a peaceful
sleep
His memory we shall always
keep;
While our memories with you
daily linger.
When our day’s work is ended.
When we say our evening
prayer.
We feel your presence, know
you’re there.
But this they wipe out never—
Those happy days when we were
all together.
If all the world were ours to
give,
We would give it all and more
To see his face we loved so dear
Come smiling through the door.
Friends may think we have for¬
gotten.
When they see us smile.
But little do they know the
sorrow
Which our smiles hide all the
while. ’
