charge. On Friday night at 8
o’clock the congregation of
Davis Ark will be at St. Thom¬
as AME church, Rev. W. M.
Greene, pastor. Rev. Thomas C
Davis, pastor of Davis Ark, wil
be the speaker and on Wednes¬
day night, Oct. 27, he will de¬
liver the sermon at St. Peter’s
Baptist church.
Mrs. Floretta ' Howard and
Mrs. Maggie Moore are giving a
chicken and shrimp supper Sat¬
urday night, Oct. 30, at Lola’s
Place.
Willie Shuman, Jr., is the
proud father of a baby boy.
Sunday was a big day at St.
Peter’s AMR church beginning
with Sunday school. At.8:00 pm
the building fund rally reported
a total of $125.00. At 4 o’clock
the Union Band Society held its
regular meeting at the church
with President Solomon Walton
in charge.
Mrs. Florence L. Greene has
returned after spending a few
weeks with her daughter in
New York.
