The many friends of Mrs.
Ida Mayrant LaShay were
shocked to hear of her sldden
death 'In Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mrs. LaShay graduated from
Beach Institute in 1,896 and
from the Georgia State IndusK
trial College in 1899. After
teaching a while in Georgia
she became the wife of Solo¬
mon LaShay of this city and
with him moved north where
they have lived over 40 years.
Mrs. LaShay is survived by her
husband, a daughter. Miss Mil¬
dred LaShay; a sister, Mrs.
Mary Elizabeth Johnson of
Greenville. S. C.; and a niece.
