Not all the archangles can tell
The joys of that holy place
Where Jesus is please to reveal
the light
Of this heavenly face.
Tis good at thy word to be here,
Tis better in thee to be gone,
And see Him in thy glory ap¬
pear,
And share with thee on thy
throne.
How happy you must be, dear
John,
With the people that dwell
above,
No pain the inhabitants there
feel
No sickness nor sorrow, just
peace and love.
Blest be the dear uniting love
That will not let us part
Though the body may far off
be,
!We still are one in heart.
