The Bulloch County Teachers
and Education Association will
hold their forum at William
James Grammar school, Wed.,
Nov. 14, at 7:30 p. ni.
T he guest epeaker will be Mrs.
Erma Fields cf Savannah. Shfet
received her early training in
the public school of Tennile,
Ga.. received her B.S. degree
from Savannah State college,
and the master of arts degree
from Atlanta university.
She is presently employed as
Jeanes supervising teacher of
Candler and Toombs counties
and Vic’alia City System, and is
a member of St. Philip AME
church.
The Halloween decorations were
ittractive. Each person received

West Savannah School
The fifth, sixth and seventh
'jradc classes of West Savannah
School will long remember Novem¬
ber first as a very important day
ill the history of West Savannah
School, for that is the day wo
moved into our new building. We
are all so proud of our beautiful

j colored desks, and attractive hoard
I md bulletin space. We are also
J oroud of our new library and
| multi-purpose room.
The Hallowe’en party at the
| school was well-attended by the
lower and upper grade classes,
j The Recreation Council did a won¬
derful job of planning. There were
several prizes for the variety of
games; the program included live¬
ly music, and a square dance by a
special group of hoys and girls.
On Friday, the Gra-Y and Tri-
Grr.-Y clubs conducted an assem-
. !>lv program. J. R. Jenkins, exec¬
utive secretary of the West Broad
St. Y. M. C. A., spoke and install¬
ed the officers. This was the first
assembly to he held in the new
t multi-purpose room, and it was
1 very attractive with lovely flowers
and our new piano, The school’s
chorus furnished the music.
The following Tri-Gra-Y offi¬
cers were installed; President,
Barbara Holmes; vice president,
Leola Reddick; secretary, Paulette
Stevenson; assistant secretary,
Eugenia Griffin; treasurer, Mar¬
garet Roberts; chaplain, Ida Mae
Green, and reporters, Patricia
Milton and Betty Daniels.
Those installed as Gra-Y of¬
ficers were: President, Leo
Young; secretary, Joseph Mydell;
assistant secretary, Henry Hamil¬
ton; treasurer, Freddie Woodson,

to various communities. This
idea lias worked out wonderfully
in that, the meeting held in the
Bellinger Hill and Levy communi¬
ties was a success. Our next
meeting will he held at the Mt.
j Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs, Frances Coe, teacher of the
j 4-1 class is no longer with us. She
j resigned, and has accepted work
in the state of Georgia. Mrs.
Rachael Vanderhorxt has replaced |
her. We are happy to have her as
the new teacher,
