He entered the army In April, 1C43. He the hur-band of Mrs. Gertrude Amos Jivcns. They are making their home in Washington, D. C. Joseph Jivcns youngest son, Jerry, who was stationed at Ft. Lee, Va„ is home on a two-week leave. After he leaves Savannah he will report to the Oakland, Calif., army base. They are the brothers of Mrs. Irene Gray who lives at 808 W 53rd street, and the cousins of Mr. and Mrs. William Hamilton of 806 West 39th street, Savannah. MASS. UNIV. Soror Frankie Golden, Anti- Basileus, presided over the busi¬ ness part of the meeting. Plans weie made for Finer Woman¬ hood Week. Soror Marguerite Wught conducted the program. Tributes were given to our na¬ tional and local founders. Soror Matilda Rivers read “The His¬ ( tory of Zeta.” Surors Hankie ; Golden and Ann Jordan gave- inspirational speeches and re¬ viewed m any outstanding achievements of Zetas. Pop songs were led by Rho Beta chapter. Refreshments were served irom a set of colorful tables with beautiful centerpieces.
