800 Attend
Gospel Tabernacle
A new thing struck West Sa¬
vannah Sunday night that saw
mere than 800 local citizens
pouring into the 1400 block on
Augusta Avenue to hear a lec¬
ture on “The Negro in Bible
Prophecy.”
That was the opening subject
at the Gospel Tabernacle, a 100
foot attractive tent where H. L.
Cleveland, dynamic young evan-
Relist from Chattanooga, and
his co-workers are holding
revival meetings every night
Already it is realized that one
has to come early to get a seat
as there are only 650 chairs
under the huge canvas. Stirring
organ and piano music, vocal
solos and community singing
add much to the gatherings.
One of the highlights of the
program is the question arid
answer period preceding the
lecture.
Sunday night will begin the
second inspiring week of these
meetings and the public is in¬
vited. The Augusta Avenue bus
stops at the tent which is well
lighted, waterproofed, cool, and
comfortable.
