HAPPY ST. VALENTINES
DAY to all of our readers!

MUSIC is the art of the pro¬
phets, the only art that can
calm the agitations of the
soul; it is one of the most
magnificent and delightful pre¬
sents God has given us.—Luth¬

MATTIWILDA DOBBS was in
the cast of Offenbach’s “Tales
of Hoffman’’ which was pre¬
sented by the Metropolitan
Opera Company over CBS
Radio last Saturday. Miss
Dobbs sang the part of Olym¬
pia, the mechanical doll. For
those of us who have not heard
this young artist since her
appearance in Savannah many
years ago, Saturday's perform-
ance was a rare treat. Years
of experience and training have
added depth and beauty to Miss
Dobbs’ naturally pleasing voice.
We join Mr. and Mrs.
Wesley Dobbs, her parents, in
being very proud of her ac¬
complishments and add our
best wishes for a successful
Metropolitan career.
