movement,” and Chatham-Sa-
vannah in Elementary Arithme¬
tic-Science.
She is a member of the N. E.
A., A. T. A. and Chatham County
Teachers Association.

Scouts Celebrate
On Thursday, March 12, the
Brownie Scout Troop 69, and
Intermediate troops 122 and
123 of DeRenne school cele¬
brated their birthday with an
assembly program at the school.
About 70 Brownies and Gir 1
Scouts participated. Cubs and
Boy Scouts of the school serv¬
ed as ushers.
Several parents and friends
witnessed the assembly. As a
special tribute to the scouts, the
principal, Mrs. E. S. Warrick
dedicated an original poem to
them. She also congratulat¬
ed the scouts for the fine show¬
ing they made in the Cookie
Sale. The Brownies saies

bership cards to leaders. Sheila
Mobley served as narrator for
the assembly program.
The Scouts participated in the
city-wide birthday party held
at Sarah Mills Hodge school on

ors donated cakes for the par¬
ty.

A program was presented by
the physical education depart¬
ment with Carolyn Williams
serving as narrator. The fol¬
lowing activities were presen:-

Dance, 8-12 girls and 8-1 boys;
Ptunts, 8-11, 8-2 and 8-5 boys;
Dance: Turkey Hop, 8-12 girls.
