Let us not love
neither in tongue; but in deed
and in truth.—(I St John 3,
13.)
Words of love are the most
welcome words in any lan¬
guage. But words alone are
not enough. They must be
uttered ‘‘in truth" from the
heart of the speaker, and
proved by deeds. Only thus
can we show our love to
others, as God has shown His
love to us through the life of
Jesus Christ

Gem Thoughts for Meditation
“For who upon the hearth can start a fire,
And never warm the stone?
Or who can cheer another’s heart,
And not his own?
I stilled a hungry infant’s cry,
With kindness filled a stranger’s cup,
And lifting others,
Found that I was lifted up.’’

ABOUT TALKING
Be not rash with thy mouth,
and let not thine heart be has¬
ty to utter any thing before
God: for God is in heaven, and
thou upon earth: therefore let
thy words be few.—Eccl.

Take along a roll of paper
towels when you plan a cook-
out away from home. You’ll
find them an enormous help
in your clean-up tasks at the
barbecue grill.
Paper towels which have
greater absorbency and wet
strength, such as the new
Kleenex towels, will remove
grease quickly from skillets
and broiling racks, as well as
dry cutlery and cooking tools.
