Entertains With
Oriental Tea
The members of Omar Tem¬
ple, No. 21, A E. A. O. N. M. S.
Daughters of Isis of Omar
Court No. 91, and the wives
sisters, and daughters of the
Nobility, along with many
friends of the Daughters of Lsls
gathered at the Mosque, West
Gwinnett street last Friday, 1
Ntov. 27 at 8 p. m.
This affair was an Oriental
Tea sponsored by The Nobility
in honor of its ladies auxiliary, j
The purpose to bring together
the many members in a renew¬
ed acquaintance .and to increase'
the membership of the Daugh- 1
ters of Isis. Amid strains of i
soft enchanting music, felici- i
tations of friends were in evi-!
dence which bespeak the jovial!
atmosphere of the evening.
The well-rounded program,
under the direction of Noble.
Oliver Smith, was very enjoy¬
able from beginning to end.!
Noble C. H. Bias, capitvated
the audience in his usual man- i
ner. in absence of the lectur¬
er, an inspiring address was
made by Noble A. E. Peacock,
being introduced by Noble Syl¬
vester Ashford. A number of
selections were heard from Omar
Temple Enchanters.
The outstanding feature of
the evening was the one man
show staged by William Pleas¬
ant, Jr., who proved to the au¬
dience that he is one of the
best local talent in his field
Another guest artist was Clar¬
ence Perkins, Jr., who was pian¬
ist of the evening. Among the
out-of-town guests was Noble
Drake from St. Paul, Minn.
At the banquet table, which
was so exquisitely arranged,
Nobie Walker Stringer was toast¬
master. Delicious refreshments
were enjoyed by every one.
HI. Commandress, Daughter
Berdia L. Burke expressed her
heartfelt thanks to those who
were responsible for making this
affair possible. Remarks wore
also made by Imperiad Deputy
of the Oasis, E. C. Blackshear,
and Imperial Adviser, Donald
Thomas. Noble Robert Williams
is chairman of entertainment.

ticipate in its Christmas out¬
door project.
