Vice President Nixon Presents Trophy
For Fastest Transcontinental Flight
American Airlines Capt, B, O, O’Hara is presented with the
Transcontinental Transport Trophy by Vice President Richard M.
Nixon in the latter’s office in Washington, I). C. Captain O’Hara
piloted an American 707 Jet Flagship on a record-breaking transcon¬
tinental flight of 3 hours and 39 minutes from Los Angeles to Bal¬
timore’s Friendship Airport. The Vice President was a passenger.

minister of the church, officiat¬
ed. He was assisted by the
Revs. F. D. Jaudon, Joseph,
Boston and Marcus Burke.
A lifelong resident of this city
Mrs. Campbell attended the pub¬
lic schools and Savannah State
College. She was member of
the St. James AME church from
an early age, and served in va¬
rious capacities in the church.
Interment was in Lincoln Me¬
morial cemetery with Steele’s
Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors are a devoted hus¬
band, Edward B. Campbell;
daughter, Eugenia F. Campbell;
father, Frank Simmons; broth¬
er, John Manor; sister, Miss
Hattie Manor; and a host of
aunts, cousins and other rela¬
tives and friends.
