Bethjehcm Center
i Open House for new resident?
on Bolton and Gwinnett streets
was held at Bethlehem Community
Center on Monday evening- Since
the Centers have located in the
area, new families have moved in
as a result of the transition that
is taking place in the community
The purpose of the Open House
was to acquaint the neighbors with
the program of both Centers.
Lisa Morgan and Lewis David
reigned as King and Queen over
the annual king and queen contest,
sponsored by the Parents’ Club of
Bethlehem Community Day-Oare
Center on Thursday evening. The
prince was Adriane Johnson and
the princess was Lynda Deloach
Other contestants presenting $10
or more were Khodena West, Car-
lene Blake, Albertha Wilson, Wil-
liam Vaughn, Jerome Gregory, Al-
phonso Polite and William Lad-
son.
The nursery department pro-
sen ted songs, experiences and dra-
matijations of nursery rhymes.
Mrs. Celestine Allen is teacher.
The kindergarten presented “My
Playful Scarf,” which provided
rhythmic expressions and inter-
pretations of galloping ponies, In-
dians, Giants out for a Walk, and
Swaying Trees. Mrs. Norma Tol¬
bert and Mrs. Helen Brown are I
the teachers.
Mrs. Henrietta Meeks is presi¬
dent of the Day-Care Center Par-I
entst Club. Mrs. William Lad on
is chairman of the program com¬
mittee.
A Musical Spring Tea was held :
on Sunday afternoon at Bethlehem
Community Center. The tea was
sponsored by the Parents’
of the Center. j
, Vocal and piano solos, a rend¬
ing and a saxophone duet were
presented by children who are
piembers of the Community Cen¬
ter. Among those on the program
were Frances Banks, Linda Wal¬
ker,, Brenda Perkins, Georgetta
Daughtry, Jesse Foster, Christo¬
pher Pinky, Frances Foster, Helen
Powell and Benjamin Green. Al-
phonso Brown represented the
Omega Hi-Y and a selection vv»;
rendered by the Rosebud G o - p e 1
Singers. Uov. G. 1). Walker made
remarks.

chairman of the affair. Othes
member* of the program commit¬
tee were Mesdames Helen Brown,
