sionary Workers held last week
at St. Luke Baptist church, Rev.

Mr. Johnson Dies
In Philadelphia
Benj. Johnson, age 73 years,
a native of McIntosh County,
Ga. died June 3rd at his resi¬
dence, 1545 S. Garnet street,
Philalelphio, Pa., after ah ex¬
tended illness.
He was a member of JR. Phil¬
ip AME church of Savannah.
In 1908 he married Miss An¬
nie Jones of Savannah. He
moved to Philadelphia in 1917
and placed his membership in
Mother Bethel AME church.
Until 10 years ago he was an
employee of the Philadelphia
Naval Base for 31 years.
The deceased is survived by
his wife, Mrs. Annie J. Johnson;
and a daughter, Miss Mary Ann
Johnson.
