The award was given by American Baptist Seminary, Nashville, Tenn. Rev. Byrd Is a member the Tremont Temple Church. He is also the tor of Abyssinia Baptist located on the Ogeechee at 32nd street. He resides 2119 Harden street with wife. Mrs. Sadie Byrd. In dition to his pastoral and isterial work, he ls the owner of Byrd s Ice, Coal Wood Company located at Harden street.
