In Colusa eouuty Andrew Rutland expects to net fifty dollars an acre from his cot ton. —Simon Dickerson, of Marion, Living, aton county, Michigan, recently threshed 118 bushels of wheat, which grew upon two acres of gronud : and William Stepd- mau, of Genoa, raised 807 bushels upon nix acres. —The Toledo Historical Society hns been presented with u little, completely formed whi'h was found inside the yolk of a hen’s egg. Noticing a squirrel on the gato post, she took her husbands double-barrelled shot gun, cooked both barrels, stood iu the door way, and fired one barrel and killed the squirrel. While putting the gun down the other barrel accidentally discharged. The contents passed through her heart. The husband witnessed the shootiug of the squirrel, aud started for the house to congratulate her on her marksmanship.
