Nlw York, September 2.">.—President Xhfuti, Western Union Telegraph Com pany, publishes a lePer denying that the transmission of messages has been inter fered with in the South. He saya: Du- riuy I he evening of the day the troubles in New Orleans began a guard was sta tion at our office iu that ciiy apparently for the purpose of iutorferring with the free uccess of persons having mfnaagee to send or to receive. Our superintend ent made a prompt and vigorous protest against this act, aud the guard was imme diately removed.
