Completed Sixty Mile*, By to-night the Savannah X Memphis Railroad will have been completed to tho xty mile post from Opelika, and on Sat urday tho State Commissioners are invited to take a trip to Kollyton, tho terminus, for inspection. This roilects great credit upon tho officers of the road, aud especial ly upon Major H. Wilkins, who has had immediate charge of the work. The en deavor lias boon to complete tho line to the point named by the first of November in order to securo tho $1,000 per mile of direct State bonds for tho additional sec tion of twenty miles. Tho ongiuoer has vigorously nnd ably pushed forward his work, that it has boon finished in a most substantial manner threo days before tho allotted period. This is the mode by which success is accomplished. There is every probability the lino will bo gradually pushed on to Cliildorsburg, tho Selma, Koine X Dalton Railroad. This should tend to innke our people give every encourage ment to their acquisition of property. Real estate owners desire the best govern ment they can secure, and they know they can obtain this only by voting with the intelligent wliitos, who compose the mass of tho Democratic party. They heed not the harangues nor udvice of the Radical carpet-baggers aud scalawags, for they do not believe iu their honesty, and do not want rulers who will steal from them. The evidence was to the effect that the son, though somewhat liquorfled, was endeavoring to get his mother into the house. Tho son wns dismissed. Montgomery is a larger city than Colum bus, but her 8 por cent, bonds nro held 10 cents lower than Columbus 7’s. This tells the ruiuouB government of radical ism. The management have determined to have the drawing of the Fifth nnd Last Gift Concert of the Public Library of Kentucky, on tho 30th day of November next.
