THE ADVENTURE# OF AM EVEN I NO. Night-before-last there was a ring at a residence near the old Methodist Church, while the family, consisting of a number of gentlemen and lady boarders and sev eral visitors, were at tea. A moment afterwards a ser vant saw him decamping from the ball with the new overcoat of a Broad atreet bookkeeper and at once sounded the alarm.
