To date, since September 1st, the to
tal receipts loot up 80,710 balea, 10,371
more than last year. The M A <4 Rail
road has brought 14,171 bales to Col urn-

the Western Railroad, 7,402—1191 more;
C and R Railroad 7,803—4,012 more;

taken 6,633 bale® of cotton against 8,653
last year—decroase of 2,020.

The Lumpkin Mall Route.
Yesterday Mr. Srwyer succeeded In sub
letting I he Lumpkin mall route to Messrs
Edge and Dudley. They have agreed to
start Monday morning, one to leave this
city and the other to leave Lumpkin, and
the ooixractor says there will be r o further
trouble. He will go from here to Cm-seta to
straighten un the routes that have bceu
abandoned In that section.
