cent fall of rocks in the Choctaw na
tion continues to attract attention.
The phenomenon occurred on the
farm of Mrs. (’Icmmcns, a widow,
some thirty miles from Fort Smith,
Ark. The stones commenced fall
ing Sunday, April -, and kept show
ering down until night. On the fol
lowing Tuesday, April 4. the shower
was repealed, beginning ill the morn
ing and continuing until dark. Tiie
sky was clear and the sun shining
during the phenomenon. Two of tiie
wiloesses of the strange event wen*
interviewed by the reporter of the
Fort Smith |»aper, which says :
“These gentlemen say that the
showers were not continuous, hut
only at intervals, and that some of
