tedious land case was given to a Jury to

Brought Him to Farms,
A negro brought two bales of oottou to
the city yesterday which he owed for ren 1
and supplies lo Mr Win Cade, as trustee. He
s jld the cotlou and failed to turn over the
money lor oue bale. Mr Cade had the negro
arrested, and after a little discussion, he
thought it better to pay over the money
than to go to Jail, and accordingly did so,

The brass baud has severed its oonneotion
with the City Light Guards. It will here

band. The boys expect to have new Instru
