The setting off of any sky rock
ets, Roman candles, large fire
crackers, torpedoes or balloons, at
any place w ithin the e irporata
limits of the city, except north of
Franklin and soutu of Thomas
streets, is hereby prohibited during
the Christmas holidays under pen
alty of fine or imprisonment, at the
discretion of tho Mayor; and the
police are specially instructed ty
enforce this prohibition.
Besides the prohibition of large
fire crackers, torpedoes, &c, in ear-
tain portions of the city, the firing
of small crackers on any of tho
sidewalks of the city is prohibited.
