THEE IMPROVED
CALENDER ROLLERS.
The above cut represents the IMPROVED CALENDER ROLLERS, so much
admired and extensively used by Cotton Manufacturers of the present day.
They consist principally of five Rollers, six inches in diameter, 40 inches long;
two of them hollow, being a receptacle for steam. They are nirnished with all
necessary pipe and valves, fitted up ready to be attached to a boiler; has all the
latest improvements on same, including the Selvage Rollers and Cloth Yard Folder;
a taut and loose Pulley, 20 inches in diameter, 4 inches face, all ready to be con
nected to a line of Shafting. It only requires a trial to demonstrate their indis-
pe risibility.

Golden's Improved Iron Screw Cotton Press,
This eut is an Illustration of “GOLDEN’S IMPROVED IRON SCREW COTTON
PRESS,” erected in the most substantial and convenient manner. It is simple ta
construction, and so well illustrated by the cut, that scarcely a word is ueeded Vy
way of explanation. Being simply an IRON SCREW AND NUT substituted ter
wood, the wood work of its construction, and the manner of operating it, are aak-
stantially the same as in the old style of wooden plantation screw, bat the timber*
required are not so heavy or long.
Within the last eleven years we have made and sold a great many of those
Screws, and have yet to hear of the first one that has not given entire satislseties.
We furnish all the Iron Work for these Screws, of which we make two sloes, aad
fully warranted.
