Under no circumstances are the old cards to be re turned to the department for redemption or exchange. Free Trade. The reduction of internal revenue and the taking off of revenne stamps from Pro prietary Medicines, no doubt has largely benefited the consumers,as well as relieving * , burden of home manufacturers. Es- i> eo *mly is this the case with Green’s Au gust Flower and Boschee’s German Syrup as the reduction of thirty-six cents per dozen, has been added to increase the size of the bottles containing these remedies, thereby giving one-fifth more medicine in «ie 75 cents size. The August Flower for Dyspepsia and Liver Complaint, and the ■German Syrup for Cough and Lung trou bles, have perhaps, the largest sale of any medicines in the world. The advantage of Increased size of the bottles will be greatly Appreciated by the sick and afflicted, in every town and village in civilized coun tries. Sample bottles for 10 cents remain the same size. octl2d&wly The Boston Girl. I have cured cases where quinine bad no effect whatever. Yours truly, actl2 d*wly W. H. Shaw a Co. He Should Beform. There seems to be no way of dissuading Dormant B. Eaton from his wearisome habit of writing weekly letters mourning ■over the untimely death of civil service re form, but there ought to be. Mr. Eaton should haul off and give the dead past a -chance to iay its slain away to rest.—Phil adelphia Press. A WONDERFUL REMEDY. What fan be Done with an Article of Merit in the Hand* of Progressive Men. A whole page of this issue of the Courier is occupied by the advertisement of the greatest blood purifier that has ever been known. The medicine has been made for aver fifty years in Georgia, but has only within the last ten years been prominently brought to the notice of the public. The arm which manufactures this medicine is the largest drug establishment in the south, and unites with an immense capital, the most correct and successful business methods, thoroughly protecting all who trade with them, and giving every one, from the smallest dealer to the largest houses, fair profits on their goods. Their success and the extent of their business uan better be appreciated by a knowl edge of the fact that their annual sales in Evansville reach many thousands nf dollars, and then advertise this season only in the Courier and the Public. Such success could only be attained with a thoroughly reliable remedy, and this fact almost makes it unnecessary to say a word In its favor, further than the testimonials which will be seen to-day on the third page of the Courier. They are only a few selected from thousands which have been received. If any sufferer in Evansville with blood trouble of any kind has not yet tried this wonderful remedy, he should not allow another day to pass over his head before giving it a trial. It will certainly do all that is claimed for it.—Evansville (Ind.) Courier, Sept. 20, 1886. Hon. Henry L. Dawes is full of reform ardor and can hardly restrain his im patience to get at the tariff. There is this Peculiarity however, to be noticed about Mr. Dawes, that he is so much exercised on the subject of revenue reform between the sessions of congress that when the time for action arrives he is too utterly ex hausted to do anything.—Brooklyn Eagle. You can buy them at your drug store For a quarter of a dollar; And if you will only try them You will never be without them. J decl eod&wlm What Should be Done. Among others, measures should be adopted suspending the compulsory coin age of silver, redeeming the trade dollar, establishing a national bankruptcy system, regulating inter-state commerce, providing for the rehabilitation of the navy and for the defense of our present unguarded coasts; but it is likely that all these things will be postponed until a more convenient occasion.—Philadelphia North American. im Powder N* 818 <m I iiATiiBii rairr MOST PERFECT MADE Prepared with strict regard to Purity, Strength, and Healthfulness.
