ENQUIRER - SDN: COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26, 1890.
PRINCIPAL $10.00.
INTEREST $356 SO,
*‘There are hundreds of accounts of this
kind on the books of the banks. I know
this, because not long ago I knew of an
investigation being made. A client went
to his lawyer and said he had reason to
(>elieve that his father, who had been dead
several yeardfhad left money in the Bleeck-
er Street Savings Bank. The lawyer made
an investigation, and found that his
client’8 father had an account there. It
was opened away back in 1830. Four
years afterward he evidently intended to
close it, for he drew out all the money de
posited except $10. This $10 had been
there since 1834, and had never been
touched. The claimant proved his iden
tity, and the bank paid over the money.
How much do you suppose it was? Three
hundred and sixty-six dollars. The $356
was the interest which had accumulated
-eine 1834.”—New York Star.

Rev. J. O. R. Co lis«, pastor of the Mathodist
church at New Gretna, Burlington county, N. J.,
writes very encouragingly as follows:
Dr. G. W. Kirk, Dear Sir—About four years
ago 1 took a heavy cold tha‘ re -ulted in a. stub
born catarrh. It -ncreased in sevaiity. gradually
extending downward to the pharyn X and l»myx
thence to the bronchio. The back part
of ray throat was covered with ulcers;
my "voice • lost its strength and
resonance, sometimes fading away into aspi
rations. To go out into cool air was to he tilled
up with phlegm an mncou* until it was no
pleasu-e to leave the hou-e. I tr ed remedies
officinal and remedies patented, with no relief,
the disease still increased in malignance. Kad-
am’s M'crobe Killer was suggested to me, and
had some one other than yourself had charge of
it I should have dismissed it from my mind.
Having confidence in your judgment. I felt
“there must be something in it.” A faithful use
of the remedy has c nvinced me that there is
salvation in it for every catarrhal sufferer. I feel
improved in every way; health much impioved,
voice strong, discharge much less profuse, ulcers
healed, hoarseness gone, can get a fnll breath of
air—in short, can say the_ remedy is all that is
claimed for it. Vours,

The above messed up spot represents where l
aid all my maidenly reserve to oae side and turu-

pose. Alter I had indulged my wet, sloppy in
stincts about a pint, 1 calculated to brace up and
not give anything more away to my feelings,
when I spied a quart bottle and said to myself ”1
need a stimulant,” but tne bottle was empty, and,
as David done when he arrested!Abraham, ijfell on
its neck and wept again. Building Blox tor chil

They are wound with thread so they won t wooud

always make it a rule to fall to and get through
with it. That’s the reason I am weeping over the
McKinley bill now. It don’t effect me now, and
won’t till next year, but by doing the grief act at
once I get something off for cash. See’.’ Some
how I didn’t enjoy the circus. I don't know why,
but it may have been because a < ireus man came
running in with a handful of silver and axed me
to please give him a 2-'.00bill for it. 1 handed him
a $20.00 bui, when he said “no, he wouldn’t take
it, as he had found that he only had $19.00,” and
handed me back what I thought was my twenty,
but I found out alter he was gone that it was only
a one. Of course it was a counterfeit twenty I
gave him, and it would have been all right if the
one he gave me hasn’t been counterfeit too. Oh.
