Ileidolburg on Sunday, to take mouNimm
for tho foundation of a Church in Gor-
uiau, forty delegates were present from
various parts of Germany,' Austria and
Switzerland. A committee was appoint
ed to draw up a constitution for the new
Church. Its tiinin points will he the prin
ciples of the Council of Constance of 1314,
and subordination of the Pope to the
Council; aeparatiou of Church and State;
participation of laymon in the manage
ment of the Church, free election of
biahops; communal election of payors,
and a modification of confession. The
delegates are divided in opinion as to
whether the now Church should acknowl
edge tho primacy of the Pope. The com
mittee were instructed to Huhmit tlioir re
port for ratification at the meeting to bo
held at Munich in September.
