Bollock, in hie manifesto to the Buffalo
Express, entitled “an open letter to Hor
ace Greeley,'* is very eloquent upon what
he calls Democratic repudiation in Geor-
gie. Now it is a very singular fact that
the last official act of Rnfua B. Bullock,
as Governor of Georgia, was an executive
order repudiating the bonds issued by
him to the Brunswick and Albuuy Rail
road, and announcing that the Road has
been taken charge of by Col. John Scre
ven in behalf ot the Stale, Iu that order
ho says:
l T do hereby givo notice ami warning
to all persona that bonds of the said
Brunswick und Albany Railroad Compa
ny, endorsed by the State, and bouda of
the State exchanged for tho aoooud mort
gage bonds of o«uii company, will uot be
recognized as carrying %cith them any
obligation niton the Mate for redemp
tion, uutil ml valid claiiua for amounts
duo to laborers and contractors, aud for
furuinhiug materia), ahull have been fully
puid and sittihlied, aud the partiua holding
suid bond or bonda prove that the pro
ceeds thereof aero legitimately applied
to tho couutruction of said roud."
This Executive Proclamation aud Or
der bears dato Atlanta, October 28, 1871,
and that night Bullock ran away. Tho
proclamation wua tantamount to total and
oternul repudiation, because it was moral
ly iui|K>NHible for the bondholders to prove
that the money with which they had pm-
• chased the bonds had been legitimately
applied to the construction of the road.
The fact is, Bullock well kuew that tho
wrholo issue, aiguiug, indorsement and
negotiation of these bonds, from A to Iz-
zard, wus fraudulent, null and void, n>
well as tho application of the proceeds of
sale, and so he was Unit in tho Hold to
proclaim that the State should never
deem them. Nevertheless, Bullock is
heavy on u Georgia Democratic Lugisla
turo wlu have said tho same thing.

Important Application pou an In

This in a bill tlU-d iu the Superior Court
of this conuty by the complainants to en
join tho dclciiUuntH from couNlruoting
and operating a telegraph lino over tin
right of way of the Southwestern Rail
road Coiunany from Macon to CohunbtiH.
The complainants claim that tho Western
Uuion Telegraph Company have tho ex
elusive right to construct and operate tul
©graph lines over the right of way. Tho
same claim is tumlo by the Western Union
Telegraph Company os to tho right of
way of many other railroads iu the State,
under exclusive contracts with those
roads. This is therefore a teat case, and
one of groat magnitude and importance,
involving many difficult questions of law.
It was elaborately argued yesterday morn
iug before Judge Cole by Judge Lyon,
representing complainants, and by A. O.
Bacon, Esq., ropreaenting defendants.

Louisville, September II.—The city is
crowded with strangers attending the
peace reunion. Trains last night and this
morning brought in hundreds, among
them llou. L. J). Campbell, of Ohio, ex*
Gov. Vsnoo, of North Carolina, and many
other prominent persons from all sections
of tho country. The most prominent
Kentuckians arc bore to welcome tho ar
rivals as tbo guests of Kontucky. Thirty
bullocks, one hundred and fifty sheep
and fifty lioga bavo beeu barbooued. Fif
ty cooks lire employed iu preparing food,
and hundreds of waiters attend ou the
crowd. The grounds and ntanda aro pro
fusely decorated. Greeley promises to bo
horo between the 22d and 20th instant.
Every trip of the boats from tho city
wharf brings up additional crowds of visi

No Tkaiih auk Sued in Heaven.—The
dosing up chapters of the book of
“Revelation" give ns a snblimo descrip
tion of the holy city, “Now Jerusalem,” of
the character of its inhabitants, and of
tho condescending offices which God has
promised to perform Himself for those
who, having passod through groat tribu
lation, have washed their robes aud mado
tbcin white in tho blood of the Lamb.
This grand culminating summary of the
Now Testament scriptures is well calcu
lated to strengthen the faith of believers,
to encourago the hearts of tho desponding,
aud to throw a Hood of light divine,
beyond tho dark portals of tho grave.
Among the mauy precious and coniforliug
assn ranees therein given is tho one that,
iu that bright laud, uudurkened by setting
suns or clouds of affliction, God liiiusolf
shull wipo awuy all tears from the eyes of
thoso who ore counted os worthy of sal-
vutiou. A land where no tears are ever
shed I What a blessed thought! Here
wo inhabit a world of troubles and triuls,
and every eye must have a time and place
to weep, and doubtless those who arc most
familiar with theso sud monitors of grief,
will be tbo hotter fitted for tho tearless
ststo of which wo are si>oakiug. Hero we
weop and mourn over the sinfulness of
oar natures, and over the waywardness of
oar children or other loved ones; in that
sinless and deathless state there will never
ho any osuso for weeping. Here wo stand
by the graves of oar heartbstone idols,
and sigh over sundered heart strings aud
crushed affections; there will God justify
His dealings with ns, end restore to uk
far mere than we ever lost. Here do
wo turnout the inconstancy of true lovo ;
tboro lovo is unchanging and immortal.
Hore we mourn over the treachery of those
who onco were oar friends; there wo shall
find friendship as immutable as the ever
lasting Tbrono. Here weeping is essen
tially a portion of our fallen oxisteoce;
thore our cries ahall be torned to praise.
Horo we sigh and groan under exceeding
great and uiauifold infirmiUes of the flesh;
there tho inhabitant shall novor say, “I
am siok.” What a sheering hope, then,
sustains thoso whose faith oaa lay firm
hold upon promises so comforting and
precious to the weary soul! Toil on—
suffor on—thou wayworn pilgrim, retting
assured as you climb upward thet these
light sfilictions, which ore but for a mo
ment, shall wotk ont for you a far rnoro
exceodiug and tturud weight of glory.
Bstter wwp bora y oar bitter tears, friend",
