and Mutchiiiau—one thoroughly acquaint
ed wit It Hint understanding the history of

high duly of the Legislature to elect none

ability, and the acknowledged leader of
the Administration party.
Since tho war he Iion addod greatly to
bis fame. He Was the first to rouse the
people I roin tlm lethargy of defeat, to
atand up for their rights under the Con-
Mitution. This part of Mr. Hill's career
is well known and cherished by bis ooun-
Itytuon. His letter of December '70,
pci Imps, the most courageous uud patri
otic u. I of Ins life, drow down upon him
great abuse. \\ e differed with him as to
the policy of that letter, but never ques
tioned his political integrity. Events
have proven that we were wrong and be
right, and that lus comprehensive mind
only got iu advance of bis ago. It is
Hue wo fought the late battle ou Ibis
line, and were badly w hipped. Great re
form ill the political, as well as in the
moral i.ud material world, are uover sue-
ccKHful in the beginning. It requires
tone to prove their wisdom and work out
their Mtucestf. And we predict that the
ideas embodied in Mr. Hill's letter will
bo in the I'uturo the only successful plat
torm of tho Democratic party. We be
lieve Mr. Hill has done more than any
iiiuii to relieve Georgia from Kadioal
dounioition, and we freely accord to him
Mien proud .satisfaction. General Gordon

U»ll is a statesman, General Gordon is a
waumr. l’bo oue is an irresistible debs-
tci, the other u rhetorical decloimcr.
Ike one is Pericles, the other is Alei-
biodos. Doth are patriots. Mr. Hiii, if
elected, would rank with Schurz, Trum
bull und Thurman, nud be a power for
good Unit would be felt throughout the
whole country. We are proud of both
these men us Georgians, and think we
have truthfully stated tho qualifications
of e icb. If the facts point to Mr. Hill
as the man, then in the name of patriot
ism let the Legislature elect hiui.

Hair Vigor,
For restoring to Gray Hair its
natural Vitality and Color.
A (ircssinj;
which is nt
oner itgrocablo,
healthy, and
effort ual for
{ •reserving the
mir. It soon
restores fiuirj
or f/rai/ /mir
to its original
color, wit/i tho
tjloss ami freshness of youth. Thin
hair is thickened, falling hair cheeked,
and baldness often, though not always,
cured by its use. Nothing can restore
the hair where tho follicles are de
stroyed, or the glands atrophied and
decayed; hut such as remain can he
saved by this application, and stimu
lated into activity, so that a new
growth of hair is produced. Instead
of fouling the hair with a pasty sedi
ment, it will keep it clean and vigorous.
Us occasional use will prevent the hair
from turning gray or falling off, and
consequently prevent baldness. The
restoration of vitality it gives to the
scalp arrests and prevents the forma
tion of dandruff, which is often so un
cleanly and offensive. Free from those
deleterious substances which make
some preparations dangerous aud inju
rious to the hair, tho Vigor can only
benefit but not harm it If wanted
merely for a HAIR DRESSING,
nothing else can be found so desirable.
Containing neither oil nor dye, it does
not soil white cambric, and yet lasts
lougou the hair, giving it a rich, glossy
lustre, and a grateful perfume.
