cures effected by the "Pyrafugo” is town and country
talk, for to our certain knowledge some of the worst
cases of chill fever, fovor and ague, and dumb ague,
have been entirely cured. No case, however obsti-
‘nate, can resist tire health and life giving effects of
this great medicine. Parties who havo had -chills for
a year steadily day by day. and with whom all other
medicines failed, havo been restored to health by the
use of one bottle of our ’'Pyrafiigo.’’ This medicine
acts at the.same time as atonic, stimulating and giv
ing an appetite, whilst the chills and fever is entirely
eradicated from the system. Its healthy effects are
felt after the first teaspoonfnl. Attention is called to
Lippman’s celebrated chill and lever medicine, and
he challenges a single ease, no matter of what stand
ing, to try this medicino and deny its efficacy. And
it is a great pleasure for us. as well as a satisfac
tion and pride, to point to an article springing up di
rectly in our mid.-t. and one possessing so much
greater virtuothan any of the numerou*quack phytic
now afloat. Wearo positive, from the high recom
mendations seen and heard of the "Pyrafuge.* that
it is destined to take the first position for tho chills
and fever, and its reputation will become world wide,
for whenever nsed. it will speak for itself, and when

The 26th.—The untiring and indefatigable efforts
of the noble ladies of Georgia, to preserve from
oblivion tho lowly resting places of thoso heroes
who fell in defence of their rights and liberties, is
beyond all praise. But in addition to their efforts
in this respect, they havo sot apart the 26th day of
April, as an appropriate timo to strew with the fresh
and sweet flowers of spring, tlio graves of their de

Runaway.—X horse to which was attached a light
wagon, got frightened yesterday morning np on
Cotton Avenue, and he dashed down Fine stroot
Just as hard as he could clip it. He ran from where
that street intersects with tho Avenne, all tho way
to the old fair grounds without upsetting the wagon
or spilling things. It was our good fortune to be
on the corner of First and Pine when tho ’’critter”
pasaod that point, and we assert that we nover saw
fairer or a squarer ran for a half mile anywhere
or upon any turf. Wo have no idea what became of
tho horso. or the wagon that followed him up so
well and closely. We watched both until they pass
ed out of sight, and as we are not good at guessing
will not undertake to say what became of either
after that.
Fresh Dbcos.—Mr. George Payne, the “old re
liable” druggist and apothecary, on tho comer of
Second and Mulberry streets, has lately replenished
his stock, and is now disposing of fresh and pore
drugs at wholesale and retail on tho most reason
able terms. He don't mako much “fuss” about his
business, bnt he is, nevertheless, like “stiB water,”
running deeply in his channel.
Impudence.—Yesterday morning a negro man ap
proached a lady and gentleman at tho passenger
shed, who were thero awaiting tho departure of the
trains on the Southwestern road, and for whom he
had been working some eight months ago, and from
whom he had stolen a lot of clothing, money, etc.,
and had tho impndenco to extend his hand to the
lady, with a “ how-de-do, Missus, Tze glad to seo
you.” The lady immediately recognized the rascal,
and when her husband returned from the baggage
car, whither he had gone to get chcck3 for his bag
gage, she called his attention to the negro, and he
immediately, hut quietly, sought for an officer to
havo him arrested. He soon fonnd Pridgen, who,
by the way, is as nearly ubiquitous as any man wo
ever saw. When the negro saw the gentleman and
Pridgen approaching, he broke for the swamp and
Pridgen after him; hut Sambo was, by long odds,
too much for the wily official, and he succeeded in
effecting his escape. Pridgen says he is going to
have that negro if ho slays aboveground, just to
show him and other people who enjoyed the race,
that a negro can be caught without running him
down.

Weekly Review of the Market.
OFFICE DAILY TELEGRAPH, )
Aran. 21—Evening, 1869. f
The general wholesale and Jobbing trade of the
city has been moderately fair since tho date of our
la8t -weekly review of the market. The retail trade
in drygoods and clothing has been quite active,
whilst wo have heard of some pretty heavy trading
by wholesale.
In groceries and provisions, the market has been
rather quiet Com ia firmer than on the date of onr
last report, and prices have advanced one or two
cents per bushel. Bacon continues quiet as the
weather grows warmer, though prices remain very
firm at quoted rates. Flour has been dnllati the
week, and as it approaches the shadow of the new
crop of wheat, prices get weaker and are slowly fatt-
ing off. Other articles are about the same as they
were last week.
In the stock and bond market there has been a
little more animation noticeable than for several
months past, and as the cotton crop is now nearly
off, capitalists will soon begin to invest in this class
of securities, and we may soon haTC a lively and in
teresting market. Money continues easy and
abundant for the accomodation of ail A1 paper. We
