that presses the Colton into the Sale.
The power of this Machine is such, that from
450 to 500 pounds of Cotton can he pressed in
to five yards of 42 inch bagging with considers
hie ease, and in a very short time. The superior
advantages of this machine are clearly manifest,
I 'that in addition to the small quantity of bagging
required, (~which certainly is an object,J two
hands can with great ease, puck from eight to
twelve bales in one day, if the cotton is conven
ient, by having some assistance in sewing, which
. is by fur the most tedious part. Tbe simplicity
of this machine and its superior power ate great
ly admired by mechanical artists, and in fact all
l' who have seen it. Ily a mechanical demonstra
tion it is proven, that the power of the lever
and its concomitants are equal if not superior to
any, even to the wedge if properly applied.
