Subscriber respectfully informs his friends 1. and the public in general, that he has invented KtYi & useful MuclvVuc, for the purpose of Packing Cotton into square -Bales, by the power of a Lever, acting on a Fnlcum. -which drives the follower that presses the Cotton into the Hale. | The power of this Machine is such, that from 450 to 500 pounds of Cotton can be pressed in to live yards of 42 inch bagging with considera ble eas-, ami in a very short time. Ihe superior advantages of thin machine are clearly manifest, that in addition to the small quantity of bagging required, fwhich certainly is an o\ject,J two ( bands can with great ease, pack from eight to twelve hales in one day, if the cotton is conven ient, by having some assistance in sewing, which is by far the most tedious part. The simplicity of this machine and its superior power are great , Iv tidin'red by mechanical artists, and in fact all 1 who have seen it. By a mechanical demonstra tion it is proven, that the power of the hver ■ and its concoioliau's are <-q mi if not superior to any, even to the wedge if properly applied. From the high and frequent encomiums past on the invention, the subscriber is induced to of fer it to the Public as something worthy of their immediate notice.
