Masonic Signet and Journal.
SOME time since we issued a Prospectus of a
Monthly Magazine, to be devoted to the inter
ests of Freemasonry, under the style and title of
“The Masonic Messenger.” We take great pleas
ure in stilting that Brother S. Lawrence, late Edi
tor of the Masonic Signet and Journal, whose fame
as a Masonic writer is well known throughout the
Masonic world, will he associated wilh us in the
editorial[department. Our efforts will, therefore, be
directed to the revival of the Signet and Journal
a work formerly well known nml widely circulated,
but which was swallowed up in the general crash
that succeeded the inauguration of the late war. We
earrtestly invite the late patrons of the Signet and
Journal, as well as the fraternity at large, to come
to our support, pledging ourselves to use every
means In our power to render ttie work in every
way deserving their patronage.
We take this occasion to state that we have al
ready met with sufficient encouragement to war

NO MORE COD LIVER OIL.
Grimault’s Syrup of lodized Horse
Radish.
This Syrup Is employed with the greatest suc
cess, in place of Cod Liver Oil, to which it is Infi
nitely superior. It cures diseases of tiie chest,
scrofula, lymphatic disorders, green sickness, mus
cular atony, and loss of appetite. It regenerates
the constitution by purifying the blood, and is in
a word, the most powerful depurutlve known. It
never fatigues the stomach and bowels, and is ad
ministered with the greatest efficacy to young
children, subject to humors, or obstruction of the
glands. At last, it is very efficacious In the dis
eases of the skin.
NO MORE CONSUMPTION.
Grimault’s Syrup of Hypophos
phite of Lime.
This new Medicine Is a sovereign remedy In
phthisis and other diseases of tire lungs, promptly
removes all the more serious symptoms. Tiie

The majority of the Academies «>f Medicine of
Paris, recommend the Phosphate of iron, to I allies
of delicate constitution suffering from anemia, and
all other persons fatigued from over anxiety, nerv
ous emotions, overwork, general debility and poor
ness of blood,
It is the only preparation which never causes
constipation, and can be borne by the most deli
cate stomachs.
NERVOUS HEADACHES, NEURALGIA

Grimauit’s Brazilian Guaranna,
A vegetable substance nseil from immemorial in
Rrazil, and entirely inoffensive.
Dr. Burin Du Buisson’s Digestive
Lozenges and Powders of the
Alcaline Lactates.
Tiie Alkaline Lactates exercise the most benefi
cial influence over t ie derangements of digestion,
either by their peculiar action on the mucous mem
brane of I fie stomach, or by affording to the latter
through their combination with the saliva to the
gastrie juice, a supply of Istcllc <iei<l which all Eng
lish, French and other Physiologists admit to be an
essential principle of digestion. For tiie informa
tion of those who may be without Medical advice,
it may be stated here that tiie symptoms of im
paired digestion are : Headache, pain in the fore
head, heinicrania, gastritis, gastralgia, heartburn,
wind in the stomach and bowels, loss of appetite,
emaciation, etc. All these soon disappear under
the action of file Alkaline Lactates, which may be
always had in Lozenges, or Powders.

HOUSEKEEPERS troubled with vermin need
be so no longer, if they use “Costar’s” Extermin
ator. We have used it to our satisfaction; and if
a box cost $.5, we would have it. We have tried
poisons, but they effected nothing; but “Costar's”
article knocks the breath out of Rats, Mice, Roach
es, Ants, and Red-Rugs, quicker than we can
write it. It is in great demand all over the coun
try.—Medina, Ohio, Gazette.
