ATTRKrrxD Bold Bobbrry.—A negro i»m ft the
name of Perry Howard, a discharged soldier, at
tempted to rob another boy of some money, with
which the latter had been pent out by his employed
Howard bad been seen loitering about the place, and
upon the boy's coming out he followed him and at
tempted to take the money away. The boy’s em
ployer, who had anticipated the movements of the
would-be highwayman, provided the assistance of a
policeman and succeeded in arresting him. Howard
was brought before the Mayor yesterday morning and
sentenced to pay a fine of ten dollars, or in default of
payment ten days on the chain-gang.
The Steamship San Salvador.—It was incorrectly
reiiorted yesterday that the steamship San Salvador
arrived at New York on Thursday of last week. It
appears that she arrived in her usual good time, an
Tuesday, in silty-threu hours from thin port. The
error in the day as first reported was the fault of the
telegraph.
The Steamship Leo.—The steamship Leo, as we
learn from a dispatch to Mr. Octavus Cohen, her agent
in this city, sailed from New York on Saturday, and
not on Thursday, as previously reported.
Tax Notice.—The attention of merchants and
others is directed to the important notification of Mr.
Bee, the Receiver of Tax Returns. But two days
more remain in which to make returns.
j Auction Sale of Liqcobs.—Messrs. York, Williams,
Mclntire £ Co., advertise an extensive salo of wines
and liquors this morning at 10 o’clock. See advertise

Thb stoamer dictator having met with a slight ac
