Feraandlna, Jane 6—The British bark Geo H Jen
kins cleared from this port last week with a load of
420,000 faet lumber for Queenstown, Ireland. On the
1st mat, w hile being towed to tea, the bark, drawing
l“>i feet of water, touched lightly on St Marys bar,
and the steaming not having sufficient power to carry
bar along, she fell ott, drifting some distance, and
nally striking and lodging on the bar. She struck
n 18 S' feet or water. No blame la attached to the
pilot on board. Capt Doty informs ns that op to Sat
urday last considerable Sand had been washetTbp
around the bark. Her deck load had been removed,
bnt whether she can be got off is very doubtful. The
U S steamer Conemangh made an effort to pnll her
off, bnt was unsuccessful. At the request of the Cap
tain of the bark, we append tbe following card from
him:
The undersigned, master of the British bark Geo H
Jenkins, bonad for Queenstown, Inland, having been
driven npon the St Marys Bar while being towed to
sea on the 1st Inst, lakes this method or retaining
bis sincere thanks and grateful acknowledgements
■or the friendly and generous exertion made by Lt
Quackenbush, commanding the U 8 steamer Coue-
maogh, to extricate the bark foam her position.
G. R. Dorr.
Femandina, Jane 2,1866.
We learn that the bark la only partially Insured.
Since the above was put in type, the Conemangh
has made another unsuccessful attempt to extricate
the bark. There Is now, however, a belter chance or
getting her off with the next high tide.

Disinfecting Fluids for sick rooms, uurserieg, urin
als, water closets, privies, cesspools, sewere, gutters,
ships, railroads, hospitals, prisons, and pnblic insti
tutions of all kinds, slanghter-honses, offal and fat
boiling establishments; all kinds of mannres (im
mensely increasing the value of the latter to every
farmer), and wherever poisonons and offensive gases
exist. These agents are deodorisers, antiseptics, an
tipntrescents, and disinfectants, in the scientific
meaning of the words. They remove noxious gases
and odors by chemical principles—leaving m their
places healthful air; they are destroyers, and not
merely absorbents of poisonons gases—not injurious
to utensils in whicb they are nsed. The attention of
medical and scientific rneu is directed to these disin-
lectanta. Attached are testimonials in favor of this
great discovery, which, with hundreds of others, can
bu seen at the Company's office.

that wc have found an article which surpasses all
others as a remedy against all bad odors.
