State vs. Robin Green (colored)—simple larceny- plea, not guilty; verdict, guilty. Fined one hundred dollars and costs, and, in default of payment, to he placed at work on the streets for ninety days. , State vs. Moses Williams (colored)—larceny from the house—plea, not guilty; verdict, guilty. Aithur, of Mississippi, entered the Confederate army eirly in the war, the first in Mississippi, -and the lat ter joining a Georgia regiment. C. W. Arthur, a youth oi eighteen, was for a while in the 10th Kentucky, and was alterwards transferred to Gen. Forrest’s com- Baud. He was taken prisoner and canted to Camp Douglas, from which prison he escaped and was sfter- axids recaptured. After which, in order to regain his Lberty, he entered a U. b. regiment to fight the In Jiaus in Minnesota. From this regiment he deserted, and has not since been heard of. David S. Arthur was irom the commencement of the war in General Beauregard's command, and served through the Vir ginia and Georgi a campaigns. The mother of these young men, a destitute widow, having lost 01 her property, still clinging to the hope that her sons are aliTe, Is extremely anxious to gain information mam, and will bo very grateful to those editors who opy this card, and to any who will furnish her any in- - filiation ju their possession in regard to the fate ter boys.
