The Grand Jury, after finding the following true bills, were discharged for the term: State ts. Abram Miller, (colored.)—Simple larceny. State ts. Sykes Reed, (colored.)—Misdemeanor. State vs. Edward Johnson and Abrfm Williams.— Simple larceny. Mayor's Court. The foliosing cases were disposed of yesterday Dennis Calllahan, drunk and lying in the street, was fined two dollars. Thomas Sylvia, (white) and Joseph Homes (colored,) charged with committing a nuisance on the street, were each fined two dollars. Henry Garret, (colored.) disorderly and resisting an officer in the discharge of his duty, was fined ten dollars. Wm. Aiken, colored, was charged wit^ improper conduct, firing a pistol in the street. The pistol hav ing been fired accidentally, the case was dismissed the pistol to be retained by the Chief of Police until tho prisoner furnishes good security for future good conduct. A. Dent, colored, charged with being dL>'* , derty in the streets, wa9 sentenced to bo confined at the bar racks for ten days. \ Henry Jackson and George Was’^n^ton, two colored boys, charged with vagrancy, were turned over to the Freedmen's Bureau to be out. ElAl^EL Whertras, At a meeting of the Savannah Fire Com pany, held on the 2d of May, 1836. resolutions were erabodu d into the by-laws of aforesaid Company, depriving ex-officio additional iuembere of that Company of ail rights and privileges. l9t. While contributing by fines towards tho charter fund, they are not entitled to any of the benefits, nor have they a vote in regard to the disposition of the same. id.
