Sales of 200 bbls. at $10 60® 12 to for mixed to good superfine country, Baltimore, Ac., and $12 25® 17 50 for trade and family brands. Corn meal is linn and fairly active. Sales of 4u0 bbls. at $4 75 for Jersey, and f 5 25 for Brandy wine. Grain.—The wheat market is very dull, and prices are nominally lower. We quote inferior to prime Chi cago spring at $1 55®2 15 ; No. 2 Milwaukie club at $5 20®2 25; No. 1 do. at $2 30®2 40, and choice am ber do. at $2 40®2 45. . ... Oats are in good request, mainly speculative. Prices have advanced l®2c. f* bushel, aixl close firm. The sales are 84,000 bushels Chicago at 51®55c.; Milwaukie at 60c., and Iowa at 72@75c. Corn was in very brisk demand early in tbe day. Holders demanded an advance ol 3 to 4c. ^ bushel, but as buyers were unwilling to accede to any advance holders had to submit to yesterday’s prices. At the close the market Is firm. The sales are 25,000 bushels new. Western mixed at 88®89>gC.; and do. white at $1 1*8. r Provisions. —The business in pork ha3 been fair, bat at lower prices, closing dulL Tbe sales, cash and regular, are 7,000 bbls. at $31 75®32 12 for mess. Beef is without important change. Sales of 150 bbls. at $10® 14 for old plain mess; $16®20 tor new do.; $14®17 for old extra do.; aud $20®24 for new do. Tierce beef is nominal. Beef hams are neglected. Cut meats are quiet. Small sales at 15c. for bellies. Bacon is very firm and ia fair demand. Sales of 150 boxes long clear at 163«c., and 100 boxes short ribbed at 17>*c. Lard has been moderately active, but the market is easier, closing heavy.
