T he attention of cotton planters is Invited to the claims or this invention, which, in SIMPLICITY. ECONOMY, DURABILITY and POiV- ER, surpasses any machine for Baling Cotton ever before presented to the country. Ua great excel lence iu these respects makes it THE BEST MACHINE FOR PACKING COTTON IN THE WORLD! 1; ITS SIMPLICITY.—It Isa new and improved application of the Screw Power; jnst as simple in its * construction as the cUl fashioned wooden screw, as RIVER STEAMBOATS and TOW- easily managed and no more liable to get out of or- 0AT8, of various sizes and draft.' i| nr . No ropes or pulliea as need In the cotton presses. 2. 1 : *ECONOMY.—It has been demonstrated by actual experiment to be cheaper than th* wooden screw. The timbers used in its construction are much smaller and fewer than those employed in the old screw; the levers being only 16 feet long, and tile height of the whoierreme above the bed being only 10 feet. All these timbers can be procured on the plantation, no matter how exhausted the forest Any ordinary wood workman can build the frame, and half a dozen hands will put it up in a few hours. 3. ITS DURABILITY.—The screw and Nut are of Iron, ami will last for years without any appreciable wear. The whole machine occupies so llttlo space that it can be completely covered st very small cost. 4. ITS POWER.—With a lever oily sixteen feet lofig, one-mule is sofficlent for packing the heaviest bale** Planters who have used it say that with two mules, cotton may be compressed on this machine for shipment. This Screw was Invented Just before the opening of the War, and has subsequently never been very gen erally Introduced. Those who have used It aud seen It csed, unanimously concur in the opinion that it is .if ■ i- a i UNRIVALLED AS A COTTON SCREW. ' The following testimonials from some of the best And most reputable planters Is tbs country show the estfmate iu which this Screw stands with those who horve tried It Wo have tued and seen In, operation for the last five years, Wright’s Improved Cotton Iron Screw, sod 'feel no hesttatL a In pronouncing It the very best Col ton Screw we have ever known.
