Jas.T. Paterson,
Old Masonic Song.
King Solomon, that wise projector,
In Masonry took great delight;
And Hiram, that great archltector.
Whose actions shall everabinebright.
From the heart of a-true hoc eat Mason
There’s none can the aeeffets remove.
Our maxims are justice, morality,
Friendship and brotherly love.
Then who would not be a Freemason,
So happy and social are we ;
To lords, dukes and princes we're brothers,
And m every lodge we are free.
We meet like true friends on the lev'*
Arid lovingly part on tlio square- * A *
Alike we respect king and begjr — *
Provided they're just and r ' ■ jX *
We scorn an ungenerous r sincere.
None can with Frceir .ction
We love for to live w* .asons compare;
By rules tlia* ar .thin corapaaa.

When our Lodge is well tyled we’ll prepare lilm;
Ami like Masons our work will pursue.

There’s some ioelish people reject us,
For which they are highly to blame;
They ca-juot show any objection
Or reason for doing the same.
The art's a divine inspiration.
As all honest men will declare;
So here’s to all true-hearted brothers
That live within compass and square.
