The passage of the homestead bill by the Senate ibis morning, by such a decided ma jority, is almost a guarantee that, should it pass the House, there will be uo difficulty in passiug it over the Executive veto. The Governor vetoed a similar bill last session, aud will doubtless do the same again. If so, it is a matter of grave doubt whether it can be passed by a constitutional majority by tbe House. The bill exempts 160 acres of land in the country and $5,000 worth of property in the town f rom levy and sale, under any execu tion now. in existence or hereafter to be ob tained. A committee was appointed, Col. Moore, of Thomiie, Oh ail man, to examine the act of incorporation as to the power of changing the name of the association without legislation, with instructions to report. A Committee, of which Jas.
