n,OmtJMHUi^irwr.
Events have occvrtgg here within the
past two or three days which render it cer
tain that the ultimate object of the men
who are now striving to control the Repub
lican party in Congress is to effect in entire
change in oar republican'form 1 of govern*
ment, and to subs kate in its ptaee a dic
tatorship more absolute and arbitrary than
that of Robespierre and the Commnne de
Paris. The apparent trinmph of the im-
peacbers on Saturday last, when the Senate,,
alter giving the broadest license to the man
agers, in regard to tbe admission of evideoce
against President Johnson, refused to tbe
latter tbe privilege of. examining General
Sherman on points vital to the defence, im
parted such confidence to the Radical con
spirators as to tempt them to cast aside all
caution, and to boast openly of their power
und pf the manner in which they are re-'
solved to exercise it. In the bar r *>ms and
over tbe dibber tables principles were avow
ed which, under other governments, would
Np. edily consign their exponents to a lelou’s
ceil. Tue objects of the revolutionists were
declared to be the entire overthrow of a con
stitutional republican government, as a fail
ure, proved to be such by tbe war of tbe
rebellion, and the substitution In ita place
of a to-called “Government of the People,"
under the delusive Jacobin cry of “Liberty
and Equality.’’ Tbe means and process by
which this end is tb be accomplished are set
forth as follows:
The conviction and removal of Andrew
Johnsoo, and ih? installation of Bm W »de
in the Presidency for three or frar months
belore tbe commencement of the next Presi
dential term.
The election of Grant aa President and
Bun. Wade &b Vice President and President
of the Senate, by the aid of martial law iu
doubtful States, if necessary.
Tue virtual abolition of the Supreme Court
ot the United Stales, by stripping the judi
ciary of tbe power to pass npon the consti
tutionality of any Act of Congress relating
to reconstruction or to the business of the
Govern meut.
The extension of the term of office of the
President, Graut, the Vice President, Wad*,
aud tbe present United States Senate to tea
years lrom the l-jt of March, 1869. on the
pica that a constantly recurring change in
the Government is harmful iu tbe existing
condition ol the couuiry, and was one of
tue main causes of. the late war of the rebel
lion.
The unlimited ir flat ion of the curreocy,
through the instrumentality of the national
banks, so na to throw upon the country an
enormous amount of paper money, by means
of which the people are to be kept in a state
of excitement and good humor, and to be
amused and made sathfied with au apparent
prosperity.
This is the eud ana aim of the Radical con
spiracy. to which impeachment is only one
of the preliminary steps. The dictatorship
ot Grant will be nominal only, and the real
power will be in the Senate, with Ben Wade
at its head. The appointment made by
him daring his brief term of power will be
carefully selected from tbe tools of the con-
pirators, and the patronage and kflueooe of
office holders will stand at^tbe back ot tbe
revolutionary oomiqane. Grant will not
have the p*wer, if he bad* the disposition, to
change a single feature in tbe programme—
a single feature in the a ct ion of the drama—
for the Senate will hold him in a vice
stronger than that they have prepared for
Andrew Johnson. Wiib the latter out

Now, reader, self-abuse, venereal diseases
badly fcared, and sexual excesses, are all ca
pable of producing a weakness of tbe gen
erative organs. The organa of generation,
when in perfect health, make tbe man. Did
you ever tbiuk that those bold, defiaut, en
ergetiq, persevering, successful business men
are always those whose generative organs
are in perfect health ? You never hear such
men complain of being melancholy, ot.ner
vousness, of palpi alion of tbe heart. They,
are never afraid they cannot succeed in busi
ness; they don’t become sad and. discour
aged; they are always polite and pleasant in
the company of ladles, aod look you and
them right In the face—none df your down
cast looks or any other meanness about
them. I do not mean those who keep the
organs inflamed by running to excess. These
will not only ruin their conatUntiobs, bui
also those they do business with or for.
