Wednesday hobmuto. apwl tij im-
in THB SPfUNG.
H»ppy footstep*, to aud fro
Through the fresh green eopsea springing;
Happy laughteru, whispers low,
Chiming with the streamlet's a inging.
Twittering nirds and voice* clear.
uddrag violet.-*, iinghteniug eyes;
Spring of lift: and Spring df year
blending under April ekieS.
Branches arching over heaii.
Brave in spring tide's bright array,
Glittering flecks of aunlight abed,
Lue 6t.e«vu jewels on me way.
Primrose, virginal and pure,
Gallant crocus, bright and bold;
K»-d »nem »ne, secure
In his mosses’ clinging hold.
Blue forget-me-not, that gazes
On her owu eyes in the nver;
Gie.it convolvulus, chat raises
Bloseoms where the Willows qai^er.
All these genja of nature lay
Scattered broadcast on yonr road;
Youths and maidens, while you may.
Take the boons by Spring bestowed.
Never Summer’s lavish glory,
Never Autumn’* lender sadness,
Breathes the Spring-time’s wooing etory.
Gives the Spring-time’* fearless gladness.
Blight amid the iruita will creep,
Tho^rua amid the roses sung;
Fresh'to gather, sweet, to keep.
Are the buds that bloom in Spring.

You’ve been my dupes, and shall be ov’n in death.
As this marble shall attest beyond your latest breath.’’
