Bunaway.—Yesterday a horse attached to
a baggy ran in town from bsyond the j ill at a fu

and Liberty streets, some one endeavored to stop
him. when he shied off and dashed the bnvgy against
a tree, smashing it considerably, and forcing himsolf
from it. He then ran off down town.

—Yeiterday morning Cliaries Wilson, colored, as
saulted William Williams, colored, and attempted
to mnrder him by cutting at him with a razor. Wil
liam made complaint, and Charles Wilson was ar
rested bi Deputy Sheriff Isaac Buaaell, aad carried
before Justice P. M. Bussell. Ho acknowledged that
fie had commit'e 1 the aasmult, and was committed
to jail.

Sunday evening a white man, while walking on
Jefferson street, was assaulted by another man and
bod y cut. The party attacked lies in a dangerous
condition, and the assaulting party, who is unknown
