late Camming, of Mobile, Alabama, has been laid
upon our table by Jfr. Ohas. W. Sherman, the trav

earnestness, the story of her extended labors in the
hospital of the Confederate Army of Tennessee da
ring the late war, and has borne honorable testimony
to the noble sacrifices made by the brave soldiers in
behalf of a righteous cause. Hers has not bees the
task to herald forth the glories of the battlefield, or
the splendors of an extensive military pageantry, but

body happpy. Captain J. K. Reilley, Mr. M, C. Mor
phy, Mr. John ReUley, Mr, Batter, Mir. John Riley,
judge O’Byrne, and many olhers, on foe regular
committee, or laboring voluntarily, deserve gnat
praise.,
Towards night a committee selected from the
crowd met, and Judge O’Byrne presiding and Major
John O. FentiLBeuetary, made preliminary arrange
ments for a repetition of the pic-nIC. 1 Quite a'hand-
some sum of money was raised for Henry Gwynn.
Wet and weary, but healthier and happier for this,
moist excursion, we close by congratulating the'
whole party the skill with which they made auchi
a trip agreeable, and complimenting .Father HaknPj
