ADDRESS TO THE COLORED VOTERS.
On our first page this morning we pub
lish an address to the colored people of South
Carolina from the Central Democratic Club
of Charleston. The address, which is a clear
and candid exposition of the tins relation in
which the white and black races stand to
each other in the South, is _as applicable to
the colored people of Georgia or any other
Southern State as to thosepf South Carolina,
and we only regret that it cannot be read
and earnestly pondered by every sensible
colored man and woman in the South.
We commend this powerful dooument to
the attention of our Democratic friends and
all well wishers of the colored race, and re
commend that steps be taken to have it gem
erally circulated.and read in the colored
Clubs and to the colored people in every set
tlement, on every plantation, and in every
cabin. So candid and truthlul in its state

its conclusions, so Btrong in its appeals and
so wise in its warnings, it cannot fail to com
